Seishin Martial Arts are one of the fastest-growing martial arts clubs in Tasmania. We provide Judo classes for children, teens, and adults from beginners through to advanced levels.
Our Classes
As well as our mainstream classes, we are the first club in Tasmania offering dedicated training in Adaptive Judo for children and adults living with disabilities and additional needs. Seishin now has one of the largest No Limits Judo teams in the country.

Mainstream Judo
Our mainstream Judo classes are open to children, teens and adults and we welcome beginners to advanced. Students focus on both grading and competition training as they work their way through standing and grappling techniques to build skills and apply them in practice.
Adaptive Judo
Adaptive Judo is adapted teaching and techniques in Judo for children, teens and adults with an intellectual, cognitive, physical or psycho-social disability or additional needs. Small group classes provide a supportive environment that focuses on the individual needs of each person.
ALL students must be registered with the club and Judo Tasmania. New members receive 1-month free membership.

Schools Program
Make P.E classes at school a little more exciting! Our Judo for Schools’ program offers tailored packages to support the physical education and activity of your students. We focus on physical, emotional and social skills as students learn Judo techniques that develop and improve focus, regulation, balance, motor skills, teamwork and trust. Through Judo, students learn body awareness, develop confidence, improve their social skills and increase self-control.
